the Kingdom
is in-breaking
even now
glimpses of Glory
shatter the shadows
echoes of eternal purpose
stir in my soul.
though Death and decay
claw at my earthly being
waiting to feast
and consume me
into nothing-ness
though Death and Hades
will have their way
and i will cease to be…
i will be again
made New
with all creation
reconciled and restored
to Life
for the Kingdom
everlasting
has overcome.
it is not yet
and it is now
and we can sing
a New song
in the face of Death
knowing
that Heaven
is already here.
